Our Story

awpl began its journey in 1995 with the opening of the first Australian Way store on Melbourne’s Collins Street. In 1997, awpl opened its first airport store in Brisbane Airport, marking the beginning of its evolution into a world-class travel retailer. The driving force of this evolution has been the meticulous, honest, and hands-on approach from Managing Director and founder Costa Kouros, whose strong belief in leaving a positive and memorable feeling with all customers continues to resonate through the business.

Our Support Centre

Located in Port Melbourne, Victoria, our Support Centre exists to support our stores our people and our customers. The Support Centre is made up of over 40 people in various teams such as: People & Culture, Merchandise, System & Innovation, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Design. We’re a big family that continues to grow and evolve, and are always willing to lend a hand.
