Our culture

We do it ourselves

awpl was founded in 1995 by Managing Director, Costa Kouros, and his meticulous, honest and hands on approach has been the driving force behind the business’ evolution into a world class airport retailer. This culture ensures that we all deliver on promises and continue to build relationships of trust and loyalty with our supply partners and landlords.

Our heartbeat

Proud supporters

awpl likes to give back and supports the local and broader community as well as charities big and small.

We have regular events at our Support Centre to drive donations and community involvement all year round. If you are a charity or a local not-for-profit organisation, get in touch to let us know how you would like us to be involved.

Our Support Centre

One big family

Located in Port Melbourne, our Support Centre exists to support our stores, our people and our customers. The Support Centre is not a Head Office! We don’t have secretaries and P.A’s running around getting coffees and booking meetings. We do it ourselves.

The Support Centre is made up of over 30 people in various teams such as: People & Culture, Merchandise, Systems & Innovation, Finance and Design.

We’re a big family and are always willing to lend a hand.
